Lesson planning inspo -- Feb 23 from Just Add Students

Just a note

From Just Add Students

Hi Reader,

Did you know that Thursday, February 27, is International Polar Bear Day?

I don't know about you, but I am fascinated and enamored by polar bears...why? No idea. I know one thing about them, though: I would not want to meet one face to face. They're big!

But, what else is there to learn about these beautiful animals?

Lots!

Your students will love watching live cams and tracking polar bears on the Polar Bears International website (which I have just spent about an hour digging through with reckless abandon).

Want a bit more structure to a deep dive into Polar bears?

This will help⬇️⬇️⬇️

Use a mini research project

Your students won't even realize they're researching!

You'll love this guided mini research project.

Sit back and watch your students discover more about this amazing animal. Oh, and make research fun while you're at it!!

And, just in case no one has told you this recently, you are AMAZING and WONDERFUL because you are as interesting as a polar bear (well, probably more interesting!!).

💖

With gratitude for all you do,

Marypat

Just a note From Just Add Students Hi Reader, The last day of break before going back to school -- lesson plans are the last thing on your mind -- and of course they are! Because there's still pie left! What to do? Check this out... >>> Teachers Pay Teachers is having a sale! >>> Take 25% off any resource in my store when you use the code CYBER25 >>> When is this weekend-saving sale? Monday & Tuesday, December 1 & 2 (I know, I can't believe it's already December either!) Need a lesson plan...

Just a note From Just Add Students Hi Reader, Oh I am so ready for college football to start -- Timeout! -- that's not what I'm supposed to be focusing on today. And as much as I'd like to insert football puns here, to do so would be unsportsman like conduct. So here's the deal... Today (and tomorrow), you can save 25% on any purchases from my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Couldn't be easier. Use the code BTSBONUS25 when you check out. Here's a resource you shouldn't "pass" 🙄 Teach annotation...

Just a note From Just Add Students Hi Reader, Happy weekend! Can you almost see the end of the school year? If it feels like it, you'll want some fun and easy lessons. Try this: have students create a "Starter Pack." This works for a character from a novel or history; it works for a pet or a hobby. A season or a grade level. My French friend tells me that starter packs are all the rage over there -- so of course, I had to jump into the fun (and add the ELA component!!) Here's the lesson to...
