Lesson planning inspo -- April 27 from Just Add Students

Just a note

From Just Add Students

Hi Reader,

Happy weekend!

Can you almost see the end of the school year? If it feels like it, you'll want some fun and easy lessons.

Try this: have students create a "Starter Pack." This works for a character from a novel or history; it works for a pet or a hobby. A season or a grade level.

My French friend tells me that starter packs are all the rage over there -- so of course, I had to jump into the fun (and add the ELA component!!)

Here's the lesson to check out⬇️

On sale this week!

Need a super fun poetry-writing lesson to round out April? You've got to try blackout poetry. Best part -- you already have everything you need. And this is a lesson every student can be successful with!

Just a note From Just Add Students Hi Reader, Oh I am so ready for college football to start -- Timeout! -- that's not what I'm supposed to be focusing on today. And as much as I'd like to insert football puns here, to do so would be unsportsman like conduct. So here's the deal... Today (and tomorrow), you can save 25% on any purchases from my Teachers Pay Teachers store. Couldn't be easier. Use the code BTSBONUS25 when you check out. Here's a resource you shouldn't "pass" 🙄 Teach annotation...

Just a note From Just Add Students Hi Reader, Does it feel like summer where you live? If your students are distracted by the weather, why not take them outside to collect adjectives? >Then create a word bank -- that leads to a spring haiku. You can use any poem form for this activity, but haikus seem to be easy for students. This free haiku lesson will help students create their own. Struggling with how to teach poetry? This video will guide you through every step.⬇️ Step-by-step video Watch...
